The Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Thanksgiving Day Parade is looking for youth volunteers to help put on the 2nd largest parade in Canada. For those students requiring community service for Confirmation, you will be awarded seven hours of service credits.
The children must arrive at Bethany Evangelical Missionary Church,160 Lancaster St. E, Kitchener N2H 1N2 at 7 a.m. on Monday, October 14 2019. Arrangements have been made to bus them back to Bethany Evangelical Missionary Church at the end of the Parade. Pick up at the same location between 11:30 a.m. and Noon. A snack will be provided. Please note: meeting locations are subject to change with notification.
Please ensure that all valuables are left at home as K-W Oktoberfest Inc. cannot be responsible for any lost items. Electronic devices are not permitted along the Parade Route.
A hat, dirndl or lederhosen will be given to children during the Parade. Children should leave their own hat at home to avoid loss.
Absolutely no money or valuables should be brought on parade day as Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest will not be responsible for items which are lost or stolen.
Please make sure your child has had a good breakfast before coming to the School – a snack will be provided at the end of the parade.
We require your signature to acknowledge that your consent has been given and that you understand your child’s involvement in the Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Thanksgiving Day Parade on Monday, October 14, 2019.
